A REVIVAL OF THE DIVINE KIND: UNDERSTANDING WHAT TRUE REVIVAL IS, WHY THE CHURCH NEEDS IT, AND WHY IT WAITS
Forget what you think revival is; what does scripture say it is? Today's church has misunderstood revival. Is it large choirs and talented worship leaders, coupled with prominent and charismatic speakers? Is this what revival has come to? Many such revivals are created to tickle the flesh, but do nothing to reach the heart and soul. True revival does not entertain and has no expiration date. But what is true revival? That is what this book is all about. Revivals―of the divine kind―are sent by God. They are His response to His people’s heartfelt prayers, genuine humility, a desire for His manifest presence, and true repentance. The fact is true. revival is what the church desperately needs. But is the revival we need, really the revival we want?.

What Readers Say:
Great read
What I like most about this book is it gave a wonderful break down of what an unsaved Christian is and the hope that no one is too far for God to reach. It definitely kept me accountable there were some parts I felt convicted and other parts encouraged. Overall this was a great read! would def recommend!

Another Insightful Book From Pastor Michael Jakes
This was my husband's reading material during the total solar eclipse on April 8th. Pastor Jakes is a writer and speaker that we have followed and trust to have good, reliable content. This particular book talks about people in the church that are going through the motions, but don't have an authentic relationship with Jesus and God. The purpose of the book I believe is to have people take a look at their own lives and to make sure that there faith is real, as well as pointing out that not everyone who calls themselves a Christian actually are. This is the 4th book of his that we own, and it's another book that is right on point. He also has an online ministry called, "That's The Word! Ministries," where he does 4 teachings a week that is also great. We found Michael Jakes by reading an article on Bible Study Tools, and love that he is focused on the cross and accurately dividing the Word of truth.
